#WCW = We Can Wednesday: Be That Good

"Be so good they can't ignore you," was said to me by a mentor while discussing competitors and threats to business growth.  This statement stuck with me in the days following our conversation.  What does it mean to "Be so good they can't ignore you,"?  Here are a few thoughts about a simple piece of advice that I hope you can apply to your own lives.

Some of us, actually most of us,  are working diligently towards the life that we want.  We toil away in our cubicles, work stations, classrooms and the like, putting forth our efforts towards earning our reward.  For some the reward is a paycheck, for others it is promotion or graduation.  The daily grind can sometimes seem daunting and monotonous, leaving a feeling of being a hamster on a wheel or a faceless number in the system.  It is when life seems like an uphill climb that we need to remember that we are not climbing alone.  God sees our struggle, but He also knows what He has placed in us, and that in due time it is those gifts that will elevate us.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
— Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

So when you feel overlooked or ignored, remember what God has placed in side of you.  Develop that gift, whatever it is.  Wherever you are, and whatever your situation, your gift can be your elevator.  Allow your strengths to become so impressive that your gift makes a way for your advancement.  He does not make a mistake, and once you understand what He has placed in you, do your part to continue that climb.  Do the work, be consistent, be encouraged, and have faith in God's plan to prosper you.

Be so good, so blessed, so diligent, so favored, so reliable, so prayerful, so loving, so faithful, that nobody can ignore or deny your forward progression.

Be THAT Good!

Love,

Tev
