God has given each of us gifts and abilities.  It is through constant development, care, and hard work that we enhance and share the gifts that God has given to us.  Proverbs 18:15-16 says "The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men."  I take this to mean that God gives us all the ability to learn, the free will to obtain knowledge, and the courage to take our gifts and ability to share with others, even those who are thought to be "great".

Colossians 3:23 says "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men".

Whatever you do!  So that means that if your gift is singing, lift your voice!  Sing as though you are at the throne of the Father, for in your voice people can find His Message.  Good caregiver?  Take care of your patients as you would Jesus Christ, the care you give may save that person's life.  Are you good at customer service?  Well serve on, you may be a blessing to someone across the country through the phone lines.  Are you good at cleaning?  Well, sweep those floors as if you were sweeping the streets of gold!

If you are on your job, don't see it as a burden - use it as your platform.  If you are good at what you do, use your God-given talents to become even better.  In your push for excellence, you are able to be a blessing to the Kingdom, "... but rather, let him labor with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need" (Ephesians 4:28).  God sees your service, He knows your heart, and it is HE that will elevate you to the places that you deserve.

What are you working for?

Love, Tev
